This month we caught up with Vinicius, joining us from Brazil. He's wonderfully given us a picture of his dog, Cookie, to accompany his interview. You can thank him for instantly making your day a little better!
Vinicius is our latest addition to the Conductor team, and he specifically looks after the Website and Studio. If something isn't behaving, he's your first port of call: he'll walk you through the known fixes, help you turn the problem into a proper bug report, and make sure it reaches a Moderator. You'll find him in #support-studio-and-web and #missions in the Curator workspace, and #tech-support in the Community workspace.

Hey Vinicius, thanks for taking the time to chat with us! Let's start with the music. What are you usually listening to?
Pop and rock, mostly. Those are the two I always come back to.
Two genres that never really go out of fashion! And how long have you been with us?
I joined in February 2023, and I mostly contribute in Brazilian Portuguese.
Over three years, then. What's kept you here?
Being part of a community of people who are passionate about music and who want to help others understand song lyrics. That's really it.
That's a lovely way to put it. Has anything surprised you along the way?
I've discovered new songs and artists thanks to Musixmatch, which I really wasn't expecting! And I've had the chance to chat with people from all sorts of different countries and cultures, which has been remarkable. It's also been a great way to practice my English.
Your English is excellent, for the record. Speaking of discoveries, is there a song you've worked on recently that you're particularly proud of?
"Me Adora" by Pitty. She's my favourite Brazilian singer, "Me Adora" is one of her most famous songs, and it's my favourite of hers too. So that one meant a lot.
Noted, and straight onto our playlist. While we've got you, we're always hunting for events to feature. Anything we should have on our radar?
Here in Brazil we have two big international festivals, Rock in Rio and The Town. They bring in artists from all over the world and across a really wide range of genres. Both worth a look!

Musixmatch has helped me feel useful because I have a serious health condition that prevents me from doing things such as working, having an active social life and taking part in many other activities. Thanks to Musixmatch, I can do something meaningful by contributing to the community and helping people understand the lyrics of their favourite songs. It has genuinely made me feel better and helped me get through each day a little more easily.
