March 2024
This is some text inside of a div block.

March brought with it new albums from Ariana Grande and Beyoncé, a new Best Music (Original Score) Oscar winner in Ludwig Göransson for Oppenheimer, and, of course, a new Just For Fun music-themed game!

This month we’re giving you four very different songs, all connected by one key thing. Your job is to find that thing!

Bruno Mars - When I Was Your Man

Blossoms - Charlemagne

Angel Olsen - Sister

Ellie Goulding - Vincent

Think you know the answer? Then you can submit it here!

We’ll announce the answer and those of you who correctly guessed it next month.

---------------------

And here we have the results!

We had some really nice and varied responses last month, which we think is worth celebrating! Special thanks to:

Essien Kingsley, Nabin, Alejandro, Museli Mulaima, Sister, Precious Ativie, Luke Sai, Kylie f, Shovon Khan, King Donna, AnasVanilla, Makiese, Suby, Humablings, Russel Walsh, Moritz B., and Kae

Who between them gave suggested connections such as ‘Dedications’, ‘Sadness’, ‘Love’, ‘Regret’, and ‘Introspection’. The connection we had in mind was actually Flowers!

Bruno Mars’ ‘When I Was Your Man’ features the famous lyric ‘I should have bought you flowers’

‘Charlemagne’ is written and performed by flowery-named band Blossoms

The music video to Angel Olsen’s ‘Sister’ features multiple flowers

And Vincent Van Gogh, the protagonist of Ellie Goulding’s ‘Vincent’ is widely celebrated for his colorful paintings of flowers, most famously his Sunflowers!

The fact that our community managed to find multiple different connections between the four songs, though, is awesome and for sure a powerful testament to both the wonderful subjectivity of music, and the creativity of our contributors!

Hope you enjoyed this sweet little #JustForFun game, thanks for tuning in!
