In musical terms, a conductor is the leader of an orchestra, band, or choir. A good one will keep their musicians in time and in tune with each other, and encourage them to play in ways that convey a set of perceived meanings and values.

In physical terms, the effectiveness of a conductor is measured by its ability to transmit something such as heat, electricity, or energy, to the purest level possible.

A Musixmatch Community Conductor is the combination of both. Assigned to an area of their expertise, they’ll support and encourage the community by answering questions, channelling and transmitting Musixmatch community values, and acting in close liaison with Moderators to amplify common feedback and requests. It’s a new and improved version of our previous Slack support and acknowledgement scheme: Frames, with a new brand to keep the project as fresh and vibrant as the community it represents!

With music at its heart, our community is inherently united by sound. Our Community Conductors will help ensure it’s equally emblematic of ‘soundness’, that is, in good working condition, healthy, secure, and well-principled.
