Music is all around us, that’s for sure! We recently reached out to our incredible community to hear about the music events happening in their regions, and we were blown away by the response we received!
An upcoming event brought up by our Curator Sasya, that really caught up our attention, is taking place in Java, Indonesia, starting June the 2nd and ending on June the 4th 2023. We are talking about the Java Jazz Festival!
This is one of the largest jazz festivals, with more than 100 shows in three days. The first edition took place in 2005, and was attended by 47,500 visitors (and this number got more than duplicated in the latest years).
In previous editions of the festival, legendary performers such as Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, Tower of Power, Joss Stone, and Toto were hosted. But also artists from genres beyond jazz and soul like JoJo, Lauv, Goo Goo Dolls, and H.E.R.
Talk about a diverse musical celebration!
Some of this year's international artists who will be stealing the spotlight at the Java Jazz Festival are Cory Wong, Max, Stephen Sanchez, The Chicago Experience featuring Danny Seraphine and Jeff Coffey, and Mario Biondi.
